"I see myself as a hybrid between an illustrator, fine artist and photographer."
Ryan Roessler started his career in the Chicago Photo District shooting advertising assignments and portraiture. In the following years, Ryan has combined his personal and fine art work which includes assemblage, sculpture, and still life resulting in a distinctive expression and look that addresses the needs of advertising and design, as well as keeping the personal aspects of fine art.
Problem solving offers Ryan the opportunity to employ his unique, graphic wit,
complex collage, and construction to convey his message.|
His commercial and particularly,
editorial work often begins with an idea given by the client which he then conceptualizes and turn into one or a series of sketches. These sketches are then sent, faxed or e-mailed to the
client. A phone conference to finalize ideas is the next step in the process. The culmination of the project is to create the collaborated image.
